Construction

Thanks to the hard work of district custodial/maintenance staff and contractors, Kettle Falls Elementary School had many new building upgrades completed during the summer along with the regular scheduled cleaning and maintenance. Several of the projects centered around school safety to make our school less accessible  to dangerous intruders. A new lock system and new doors were installed, and the big open windows in the library room were walled in to prevent all classrooms being visible at one time.

Other important improvements include:

  •  A new room built in the library for the K - 8th grade counseling services
  • Windows above the hallways in the main building walled in to prepare for a future heating and air conditioning system
  • New flooring put down in the boys bathroom
  • A new fenced playground built behind the STAR program classroom
  • New carpet in several classrooms

Then, towards the end of summer and the first few weeks of September, contractors installed new roofing on the library classroom building and repaired the covered area on the 3rd/4th grade playground.

All these elementary school building upgrades demonstrate the Kettle Falls School District's commitment to create a safe, welcoming, comfortable environment for students to thrive in their education.
