We are so excited to learn more science this year! 4th Grade has focused on investigating energy transfers, collisions, and variables with the question “Why an object's motion changes?” 2nd Grade has studied erosion and conservation. The Piping Plover is disappearing from beaches, so students were studying reasons why there are fewer birds. They are specifically looking at the effects water and wind have on beaches.

At Kettle Falls Elementary we have started to explore more in science. 3rd Graders got to explore Balance and Motion in science. They created classroom Agreements, and Notice and Wonders. They also got to be hands on experimenting with their balancing kits. Students will make observations and of an objects motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion while studying forces and interactions.
