Students in Mrs. Tetrick’s Foods class are busy making their own pizza from scratch! The “pizza lab” requires students to identify the ingredients and create a shopping list prior to ever preheating the oven. Students are also required to identify the steps in the cooking process and provide step by step illustrations. Students combine ingredients as they see fit resulting in a range of pizza sizes, shapes, flavors etc. Further, KFHS students learn the basics of kitchen safety and nutrition. The classroom smells delicious and KFHS students are learning valuable life skills!
