✨ Free choice time is more than just play—it’s where learning comes to life! ✨ When children have the freedom to choose their activities, they build independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. It's also a perfect time for them to practice social interactions and explore their interests in a hands-on, meaningful way. 🧩🎨🚂 At KFELC, we empower little learners by giving them the space to discover and grow at their own pace. 🌟

Drop-off is an important part of every student’s day! While some kids jump right in, others might need a little extra support—and that’s okay! At the ELC, our teachers are ready to meet each child’s unique needs, whether it’s a comforting hug, a preferred activity, or a moment of quiet connection. 💕 Many families find that special drop-off routines or rituals, like a secret handshake, a silly goodbye, or a fun song, make the transition easier and more enjoyable. Predictable routines help set the tone for a successful day! 🌈

Star Students Shine on Their First Field Trip! 🌟 Our Star Program students had an unforgettable day at Kip's Gymnastics! This special outing, inspired by a thoughtful suggestion from one of our staff members, was all about giving students a chance to enjoy jumping, racing, and helping one another on the trampolines. For one third-grade student, it was extra special—it was his first-ever bus ride! He eagerly watched the world pass by through the window both to and from Kip's. 🚌✨ After all the fun, students shared a lunch together in a designated area, showing great teamwork by lining up when it was time to head back.

🎉 Exciting day for our students! 🎉 Today, they had the incredible opportunity to explore the Job Corps program, getting an inside look at potential career paths! 👷‍♂️🔧 They toured the welding and masonry programs, watched skilled instructors in action, and got hands-on experience . They also had a chance to check out the dorms and commissary, gaining insight into what life would be like if they joined the program. 🛠️🧱 These experiences are helping our students see the many possibilities that lie ahead after graduation.

Spirit Week at the ELC was an absolute blast! From wacky hair to Bulldogs colors, most of our students and staff joined in, showing their love and commitment to the Kettle Falls School District. At the ELC, we work hard to build a strong sense of community and belonging from the earliest ages, and fostering school spirit is one way we do that. Spirit Week provided the perfect opportunity! It wrapped up with the Homecoming parade, which passed right by our little school. Michael Olsen and Julie Peterson joined us to watch and collect candy for our young students, who stood eagerly behind the fence. Several high school students made sure our littles didn’t miss out, bringing treats right to them. It was such a wonderful way for our youngest students to feel part of this special community event!
