All offices and buildings will be closed August 29th all day and the morning of August 30th to do all staff training.
Music Rental Night!
House of music will be hosting an instrument rental night for Kettle Falls September 7th at 5:00 PM at Kettle Falls High School. Here you can sign up for a rent to own instrument of your choice and purchase cleaning supplies! Remember to please check with Mr. Scharbrough about the instrument of choice when school starts or by emailing him at jscharbrough@kfschools.org.

Today Stevens County SRT is using Kettle Falls High School as a training site. There will be multiple patrol cars around the building. There is no emergency today at the school.
We are happy to have our local first responders use our buildings to train. Having our first responders in our buildings increases their ability and efficiency when responding to possible emergency situations at our district. We look forward to continuing our relationship with our local fist responders.

Notes from the School Nurse:
If your child has had any changes to their health over the summer, such as developed asthma, food allergy, bee sting allergy, diabetes, etc. please notify the school nurse at 509-640-1348.
All preschool and TK students who will be 4 years of age on September 1, 2023 must provide immunization records showing they have received the booster dose of Dtap, IVP, MMR and Varicella vaccine or submit a signed exemption. They will not be allowed to start school until this requirement has been met.
All 7th grade students must have Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccine or a signed exemption turned into the Middle School Office BEFORE they can start school on September 6, 2023.
All students with Emergency Care Plans for Life-threatening health issues, please submit your completed plan to your child's school office on or before the first day of school, September 6th.
Kettle Falls High School Bulldog Fall Sports begin THIS month!

Football will begin Wednesday, August 16th.
Cross Country, Soccer and Volleyball begin Monday, August 21st
All high school athletes need to register through FamilyID.
You need to have a current Physical, BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE!!
If you need a Sports Physical, make an appointment ASAP. The clinic is very busy through the month of August.
Reminder: Sports Physicals are good for two years.
Family iD is also open for M.S. Sports.
Check out our shade structure being built on the playground at the ELC. Our kids love to spend time playing outside! This structure will enhance safety, comfort, and enjoyment for our kids while they have healthy outdoor play.

Adrianna Ericksen qualified to represent Washington Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) at national leadership competition. She traveled to Denver, Colorado to join FCCLA members from around the nation July 1 - 7. In addition to competing, she was able to participate in leadership development activities. She competed in Job Interview and earned a silver medal. Congratulations Adrianna!
We are offering a FREE CDL class to anyone who will commit to subbing at least one day per week for a year at Kettle Falls School District.

You need to go to the DOL and get the free CDL book, study and then take the written test to get your permit.

Do you like bugs!? Students at the Kettle Falls Early learning center look forward to the insect study at the end of the school year where they get to observe the life cycle of butterflies, ladybugs and praying mantises.
Kettle Falls High School has students that participate in the CRT program. Community resource training can expose high school students to various career paths and resources available within their community. It can provide information on internships, job training programs, mentorship opportunities, and connections to local businesses and industries. By exploring different career options and understanding the resources and services available, students can make more informed decisions about their educational and career pathways.

Randy and Jaime are the best! Substitute bus drivers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our transportation program. They are responsible for safely transporting our students and getting them to school and events on time. They step in at a moment's notice and help maintain the continuity of bus services.
Next time you encounter a substitute bus driver, don't hesitate to show your appreciation for their efforts and the vital role they play.
